Scientist in molecular microbiology

Main responsibilities

  • Growing clinical bacteria
  • Phage screening for clinical bacteria
  • Phage characterization – plaque assay , growth curves, host range.
  • Making molecular tools for clinical bacteria
  • Planning and execute phage engineering
  • Assisting in other team tasks as required

Job requirements

  • MSc or Phd in Synthetic biology
  • Expert in cloning: utilizing different techniques such as – Gibson, T4 ligation, RF cloning, overhang extension, pCEP and etc.
  • Mastering cloning program such as Clone manager/Genius/vector NTI. (ape is not considered as one).
  • Experience in microbiology – Major advantage
  • Prior experience working with yeast – advantage
  • Able to precisely execute multi-step protocols and adjust them.
  • Fast learner and independent thinker, able to perform at the highest standards both individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English
  • Have or parts of: patent/Provisional or PCT – advantage

Microbiome Research Scientist

Join our target discovery team to help us find novel bacterial targets for phage therapy in various human diseases.

You will be expected to become a subject matter expert in multiple target indications, possessing detailed knowledge of current research and exquisite familiarity with the possible roles of the microbiome in those indications


Your main role will be to advise and guide computational biologists and bioinformaticians in our target discovery efforts, providing the microbiological perspective.

In addition, you will present research plans and outcomes to various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.


* PhD in biology (microbiology preferred)

* Background in immunology and human disease research

* Experience with microbiome research

* Experience working with bioinformatic tools an advantage

CMC Project Leader


The CMC Project Leader (CMC PL) will be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of CMC including process development, analytical development and formulation. The CMC PL will be responsible for identifying potential CMOs, negotiating contracts and activities and managing activities through weekly teleconferences or travelling to the site as necessary. In addition, the CMC PL will be defining and overviewing CMC activities in-house to support activities performed at CMO.


  • Build CMC programs for selected projects, taking into consideration route of administration for final product form.
  • Identification of potential CMOs for DS and DP manufacturing; negotiation of contract and timelines; close follow up and overview of ongoing activities.
  • Definition of work plan with CMO, review of results and documentation.
  • Overview methods for product characterization, release and stability
  • Responsible for ensuring standard of manufacture suitable for clinical trials
  • Develop operational work plans to interface with projects’ milestones and timelines
  • Overview of in-house activities that support or complement CMOs
  • Identification and management of regulatory consultants for CMC
  • Preparation of CMC section for regulatory submissions



  • PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in managing CMOs to ensure optimal project progress
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for different aspects of drug manufacturing, release criteria and stability requirements in line with ICH and FDA guidelines
  • Experienced in manufacturing of biologicals
  • Experience with oral formulations is an advantage.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and demands
  • Good communication skills and leadership and excellent interpersonal relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills

CMC Support Senior Scientist

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and test methods for product characterization, release and stability.
  • Perform in-house activities that support or complement to CMOs (DS and DP manufacturing troubleshooting).
  • Prepare technical documents including development reports and SOPs.
  • Upstream, downstream and formulation processes design, optimization and tech transfer to manufacturing CMOs.
  • Assisting in other team tasks as required.

Job requirements

  • Sc. or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology engineering or equivalent discipline with 5 or more years of relevant industrial experience
  • Experience in bio-analytical methods development
  • Experience in working with bacteria / bacteriophages –
  • Able to precisely plan, execute, document and present results of multi-step protocols.
  • Fast learner and independent thinker, able to perform at the highest standards both individually and as part of a team.
  • Relevant industry experience with multidisciplinary basis –
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English.
